The name

Kepha Viva

Kepha

Aramaic for rock. The name Jesus gave Peter: “on this rock I will build my Church.”

Viva

Living. “Like living stones, be built into a spiritual house” (1 Peter 2:5).

Together

An old foundation that is still alive and still being built. Logs in 1833, stone in 1866, paint in 2025, and now new tools.

The mark

A hewn stone with Pentecost fire inside

The Kepha Viva mark
  • The stone

Kepha, the rock. Straight, uneven sides, so it reads as cut by hand: a cornerstone, not a pebble.

  • The lit facet

One face catches the light. Someone shaped this stone.

  • The flame

Pentecost, the day Peter preached the Church's first sermon. The fire sits inside the rock: the life comes from within.

  • The inner tongue

The hottest part of the fire, and what keeps the flame readable when printed in one colour.

How we will work
A valuable tool that requires vigilance Pope Leo XIV, Magnifica Humanitas (2026), on artificial intelligence

The lab uses AI the way the encyclical asks: as a tool, with people deciding. Nothing goes out to the parish until a person has read it and approved it.

The plan

What the lab will build

I

A parish website that stays current

Mass times, events and news kept up to date without one volunteer carrying it all.

II

A Catholic data source, built for Canada

The liturgical calendar and parish information in one reliable place that other tools can use.

III

Weekly content, drafted by agents

Bulletin items and announcements prepared each week, ready for review.

IV

Human approval, before anything goes out

Every draft is checked in a staging area and approved by a person before it is published.

Using the logo

Do
  • Leave clear space of a quarter of the mark's height all round.
  • Keep the mark at least 16 px tall, the horizontal logo at least 120 px wide.
  • Use the reverse files on dark grounds and photos.
Don't
  • Recolour the flame or the stone.
  • Stretch, rotate, outline or add shadows.
  • Retype the name in another font next to the mark.
